Veterans Court is a treatment court designed to identify individuals with qualifying criminal charges who currently serve or who have been honorably discharged from military service, and who additionally have a documented Axis I mental health diagnosis including but not limited to post traumatic stress syndrome and/or traumatic brain injury. The Court is designed to provide intensive supervision and treatment services for veterans.
The Court also offers a peer support/mentoring program designed specifically to enhance the recovery process. Veterans Court provides multi-level benefits to the community including projected lower recidivism rates for participants.
