Rights of Crime Victims

The criminal justice system can be intimidating and difficult to navigate for victims of crime. The District Attorney’s Office is committed to helping crime victims know and maintain their rights throughout the process and connecting victims to resources. The PA Commission on Crime & Delinquency (PCCD) and the Pennsylvania Office of the Victim Advocate (OVA) provide extensive victim resources throughout the Commonwealth. In 2024, PCCD and OVA partnered to produce a video to assist survivors of crime understand their rights and legal standing in the justice process.
