Community Outreach

The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office is dedicated to protecting the rights and safety of its communities.

We collaborate with many nonprofit community agencies, universities, and action groups on a daily basis. Through this collaboration, we can best engage in targeted initiatives to make our county stronger, safer and more cohesive.

Our goal is to promote evidence-based community engagement, dissemination and implementation of best practices, programs and sometimes deterrents. Engaging with communities also allows us to become aware of and proactively make changes that will benefit our communities.

Some of our engagement in the community can include:

  • Elder Abuse
  • Support for the Center for Victims, Pittsburgh Action Against Rape, Crisis Center North, and the Women’s Center & Shelter
  • Premise Alert Packets
  • Support of Installation of License Plate Reader Cameras
  • Support of Police Body Worn Cameras
  • Mock Trials with local educational facilities
